Mrs. Catherine LaRoche (known by family and friends as Kitty, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. She was the wife of the late Alfred S. LaRoche.
She was born and raised in Pottstown, PA. Kitty lived in Feagaville, MD from 1972 until 2007. She was an active member of the Feagaville Senior Citizens and was known for running errands and always helping out neighbors and friends. Kitty moved to Heartfields of Frederick in 2007, where she was the champion puzzler.
She is survived by her son Peter N. LaRoche of Mechanicsville, MD, sister Helen Chistakoff of Pottstown, PA, grandson Jay LaRoche and wife Virginia of Woodsboro, her best “bud” Rachel Mellow of Smithsburg, MD, her granddaughter Ruth Ann Munn of California, MD and grandsons Peter LaRoche, Jr and Daniel LaRoche of Mechanicsville, MD, great grandchildren Annie B. LaRoche of Thurmont, Chris LaRoche and Andrew LaRoche of Woodsboro and Mary Katherine Guiles of Philadelphia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Saturday, November 3, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ken Gill officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
