Catherine Eyler

Catherine E. Eyler, 88, of Sabillasville, MD, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Quincy Village in Quincy, PA.

Born August 6, 1926 in Cascade, MD, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth Poole Davis. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Eyler, who passed away December 2, 2011.

Mrs. Eyler was a member of Germantown Bethel Church of God and was a devout Christian very active in her church. She loved her God, church and the church community. She was extremely creative and artistic. Her paintings and crafts were beautiful. She designed numerous flower arrangements for her church, weddings and social gatherings. She was an avid gardener and was proud of her beautiful flower gardens.

She is survived by son, Donald Eyler and wife, Ann, of Smithsburg; sister, Alta Richardson of Virginia; and sister-in-law, Nancy Davis of Sabillasville; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Eyler was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and John; and sisters, Madeline, Mary and Janet.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Germantown Bethel Church of God in Cascade with Rev. Mark Hosler officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

There will be no viewing or visitation.
