Carroll Brackett

Carroll Edwin Brackett, 86, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on February 18, 2019 at Hagerstown Healthcare Center. He was the husband of 63 years to Naomi Ruth (Potts) Brackett.
Born on October 15, 1932 he was the son of the late James Sr. and Bernice Brackett. Carroll retired from IRS in Martinsburg, WV. Carroll enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors growing his tomatoes. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the American Legion Post #10 in Boonsboro. He was a long time member of Zion Reformed United Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, James Brackett Jr.; niece, Angie Shimer; great-nephew, Jon Shimer III; and great-niece Julia Shimer.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the funeral home. Reverend Kevin Munroe will celebrate. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD.
