Carroll Jackson "Jack" Alexander

Carroll Jackson "Jack "Alexander, 72, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, August 14, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Muriel Payne Alexander for 51 years.
 

Born on April 10, 1951, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Cornelius Wood and Wanda (Clements) Alexander.
 
After a career in the mortgage business, Jack earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from HOOD College in Frederick, Maryland and taught for Montgomery County Public Schools. Jack had a passion for history and was an active member of 
F Company 21st VA where he enjoyed reenacting and living history events.
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children. Son Patrick Jackson Alexander, his wife Diana Pilar Alexander, Daughter Brooke Alexander Macrum, her husband Jeremy Hazlett Macrum, and Son Johnathan Prentice Alexander. Jack is also survived by his three grandchildren, Gwendolyn Rose Alexander, daughter of Patrick and Diana, Jackson Hazlett Macrum and Brantley Wade Macrum, sons of Brooke and Jeremy. 

The family will receive family, friends and colleagues beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD, there will be a brief memorial followed by a “Celebration of Life” that will take place at 2:00 pm at the same location.
 
Interment will be private.
