Carolyn M. Tobery, 61, of Basett, VA passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Martinsville Memorial Hospital in VA. She was the beloved wife of the late John Thomas Tobery, Sr.
Born August 10, 1950 in Virgina she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Lou Mcpeak Smith.
Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and playing angry birds. She also really enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley’s music cooking and most importantly having fun and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons William and Robert Tobery; step-daughters Cindy Rippeon and Frances Helmsteder; grandchildren Crystal Tobery, Natelie Tobery, Riannon Tobery, Emily Tobery, Kyle Rippeon, Donnie Rippeon, Jr. , Adam Blank, Tiffany Helmstedar and Ryan Helmstedar; beloved sister Brenda Smith and husband Jimmie; brother Bobby Mcpeak ; nieces Mandy Smith, Chanda Hiatt, Michele Smith and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son John Thomas Tobery, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9PM where a funeral service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11AM. Rev. Lloyd Fuss will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
