Carol Mathews

Carol Jean Mathews, 74, of Mt. Airy, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her home. She was the loving wife of Denzil E. Mathews for 55 years.
Born March 30, 1942 in Carrolltown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mildred M. "Mickey" and Regis John Dumm.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Mark Mathews and wife, Lisa, of Monrovia, MD, Renee Hawes of Washington, VA and Travis Mathews and wife, Julie, of Medina, OH; seven grandchildren, Alec, Morgan and Mitchell Mathews, Ethan and Emily Hawes, Jacob and Eli Mathews; two great-grandchildren, Skyler Hawes and Caylor Coro; brothers and sisters, Nancy Koval, Ronald Dumm, Rita Miller, Darlene Rowles, Wayne Dumm and Eugene Dumm.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy.
