Mrs. Carmenitta N. Cullers, 97, of Emmitsburg, MD (formerly of Gettysburg, PA) passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Catherine Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late William A. Cullers.
Born May 9, 1914 in Silver Lake, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Flora Mosser Best.
Mrs. Cullers was a member of Potomac Valley Assembly of God and throughout her life was very active as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and leader of the ladies auxiliary. She retired from F.D.I.C. after 15 years of service and loved flower gardening, music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Bowman and husband Dennis of Gettysburg, PA, her grandchildren Gavin Miller of Nashville, TN, Aynsley Keller and husband Kevin of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Carrington McDowell and husband Ryan of Nashville, TN, her sister Elouise Adams of Gettysburg and a nephew Mike Best of Eagle, ID. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Best and her brother-in-law Paul Adams.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday evening, Dec. 7 th , 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 W. Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21701
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
