Carmen Emilia Vélez Montes (Carmín) of Frederick, Maryland, died March 31, 2016, in Frederick, Maryland. She was born May 8, 1925 in Ciales, Puerto Rico to Jorge Vélez Oliver and Ernestina Montes Morales. She is survived by her children Carmiña and José, Harry and Ana, and Sonia; her grandchildren, Sebastián, Alejandra, Álvaro and María Cristina; her great-grandson Lorenzo Elías; her sisters, Georgina and Edna; her nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A Funeral Mass in her memory will be celebrated at the Urbana Country Church of the Saint Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Ijamsville, Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 11a.m. A funeral service and interment of her cremains will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico at a future date.
She always put her trust in the Lord and accepted His will.
