Mr. Carlton Theodore "Ted" King II, 42, a resident of Frederick died peacefully on May 21 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after complications from surgery.
Born on June 21, 1968, he was the son of the late Susan Hammond McHenry and the late Carlton Lamar King.
Ted graduated from Frederick High School in 1986. He worked for McHenry Auto Parts and more recently at Eastside Automotive. He was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Ravens and his other interests included gardening and stock trading. He is best remembered for his sense of humor, grace with children, knowledge of automobile parts, tenacity, and his magnetic charm.
He is survived by his step father Patrick McHenry and wife Meg Garner. A sister Jessica McHenry Hogge and husband Rick, 2 nephews Nick and Ben; step-brother Skye Valois, 2 nieces Josephine and Clara Valois; Grandson of Mary Gearinger Hammond and the late Paul Hammond Jr.; Grandson of the late John and Jan McHenry; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; a family of close friends including, but not limited to, Chris, Jahon, James, Rick & Shane.
Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Wednesday May 25, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday May 26, 2011. Pastor Todd R. Westphal will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff of the ICU for the care of both Ted and his family. In lieu of flowers, Ted would want donations made to Hospice of Frederick County in remembrance of his mother, Susan.
