Carl Moss

Carl Raymond Moss of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.              

Carl was born in Washington, DC on September 8, 1942, to Peggy Snider Moss and Samuel Alexander Moss.

After some time working for private industry, Carl joined the Department of Defense. While working for DoD he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree and later retired from the Federal Government as a Computer Scientist.  Carl was then hired by the Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as a Vice President.  He later retired from CSC to pursue his love of golf and hunting.  Carl leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Donna Moss, three children, Cathie Gilbert, Michael Moss, and Pamela Sander; two stepsons, Kevin Kline and Brian Kline.  He also leaves behind 17 wonderful grandchildren and one sister, Margaret Mason. He was preceded in death by his daughter Stacey Witte. He is also survived by his wonderful caregiver, Selam Daba.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a  celebration of Carl's life will be held at 11 am with a reception to be held immediately thereafter.  Interment will be held privately.
