Carl Foster

Carl Frank Foster, 91, of Walkersville formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away on August 16, 2020 at Glade Valley Center in Walkersville. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Leona Tritapoe Fox Foster.

Born on December 6, 1928 in Virgil, New York, he was the son of the late Ray and Fanny Esther (Kryger) Foster. Carl was a proud veteran of the United States Army and spent his working years as a power lineman with CW Wright Utility Company.

Carl is survived by his children, Bill Foster and wife Janyce of Pinellas Park, FL, Larry Foster and wife Barbara of Taneytown, MD and Kathy Foster Barnes and husband Perry of Keymar, MD; step-children, Linda Fox Clingerman and husband Frank of Myersville, MD, John Fox and wife Susan of Myersville, MD, Debbie Fox Aumen and husband David of Frederick, MD, David Fox and wife Debbie of Frederick, MD, Sherry Fox Carroll and husband Troy of Harpers Ferry, WV and step-daughter in law, Marla Fox Crowe and husband Mark of Thurmont. Carl is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brothers, Harold Foster and wife Shirley of Cortland, NY and Charles Foster and wife Faith of North Carolina and his aunt, Ruth Stevens of Cortland, NY.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Tom Foster and George Foster; his siblings, Paul Foster, Robert Foster, Ralph Foster, Ernest Foster, Mary Jane Foster and Edna Foster Widger and step son,  Charles Fox.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2pm at Calvary Assembly, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD. The family will receive friends one hour prior for viewing at the church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
