Cameron Scott

Cameron Eric Scott, 17, of Cascade, MD passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Hershey Medical Center, PA. Born January 28, 1999 in Frederick, MD he was the son of Eric and Julie Scott.

Cameron was a Junior at Smithsburg High School. He was a member of the outdoor track team and played baseball for many years with the local baseball league. He was employed part time at GT's Handi-Mart and also worked during the summer at Camp Airy. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and pets. Cameron loved being outdoors, watching movies, and listening to music.

Cameron is survived by his parents Eric and Julie Scott along with his brother Brendan Scott of Cascade, MD; paternal grandparents Ronnie and Debbie Scott of Sabillasville, MD; maternal grandmother Susan Angell of Hagerstown, MD; maternal grandfather James Angell and Harriet Herman of Ellicott City, MD; Uncles and Aunts-Matt and Brooke, Phillip and Marykate, Wesley and Kristin; Aunt Jessica; and cousins Evan, Zach, Lexi, Eli, and Jaxon.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 5-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12 at 11AM. Pastor Warren Rice and Pastor Virginia Saavedra will officiate.

Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
