Bruce Warrenfeltz, Sr.

September 14, 1924 — May 25, 2010

Bruce M. Warrenfeltz, Sr., 85, of Boonsboro, Maryland died peacefully while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Born on September 14, 1924 in Mapleville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Alvey M. Warrenfeltz and Rose Ann (Moser) Warrenfeltz Crowl.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II.

Following his military service, Mr. Warrenfeltz was employed with Baer Brothers in Hagerstown, Md.  He was then employed for 37 years with Wickes Lumber in Frederick, Md.  Following his retirement he worked part-time at  Kaetzel Transfer.

He was a life member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro, Md. and a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genevieve "Jennie" F. (Gigeous) Warrenfeltz; two sons, Bruce M. Warrenfeltz, Jr. and his wife Betsy of Boonsboro, and Lionel G. Warrenfeltz and Claudine of Funkstown, Md.; one sister, Edna Albright of Spring Grove, Pa.; two brothers, Robert L. Warrenfeltz and his wife Zelma of Hagerstown and Anthony M. Warrenfeltz and his wife Miriam of Williamsport, Md.; one stepbrother, William Layman Crowl and his wife of West Virginia; and two grandchildren, Amy Lynn Warrenfeltz of Boonsboro and Bruce Scott Warrenfeltz of Canton, Michigan.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Warrenfeltz was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Flo Sandy; and his two brothers, Jacob W. and Richard C. Warrenfeltz

The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Boonsboro Family Worship Center, 7605 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, 21713,  where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m.  Rev. Jack C. Payne, Jr. will officiate.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boonsboro Family Worship Center; Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Md., 21742; or the VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 510 Butler Aveue, Martinsburg, West Virginia, 25405.
