Brian Marshall, Sr.

Brian Francis Marshall Sr., 65, of Jefferson, passed from this life on November 23 at Washington Adventist Hospital.  He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Marshall.  Born on October 17, 1953, in Washington, DC, he was a son of Francis Joseph Marshall and Claire (Shea) Marshall.
He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Community, Middletown, for over 25 years, serving as a lector for over 15 years.
Brian attended High Point High School until 1969, and graduated in 1971 from Richard Montgomery High School.  In 1982, he received his Bachelor's Degree from University of Maryland.  While working on his degree, Mr. Marshall worked at Montgomery College until 1985.  He worked for Montgomery County Government from 1985 until his passing.
Mr. Marshall adored his family, especially his grandchildren.  Brian enjoyed tracking ancestry and familial history.  He was a "history buff", and especially liked learning about and researching the Civil War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Shea Wishard (Russell), Brian Marshall, Jr. and Kevin Marshall (Kerri Smith); grandchildren, Charles Marshall Wishard and Emma Grace Wishard; siblings Deborah Vaccaro, Julie Coakley (Terrance), Patricia Catalano (John), Mary Ellen Childers (Gordon), Claire Twigg, Elizabeth Marshall, Robert Marshall and David Marshall.  Mr. Marshall is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Francis Marshall.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, MD..  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 7 at 11:00 AM, also at Holy Family Catholic Community, Father Robert Jaskot, celebrant.
