Brian Kennedy

Brian Patrick Kennedy, 55 years old, most recently residing in Frederick, Maryland passed away on March 14, 2020.
Brian was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 5, 1964 to Margaret Mary Kennedy and John C. Kennedy.
Brian spent his early years in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended Saint Michael’s Catholic Grade School, Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and the University of Maryland College Park, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Brian later lived in Baltimore County, Howard County and Frederick County, Maryland.
Brian is the son of the late John C. Kennedy and brother of the late John C. Kennedy, Jr.
Brian is survived by his mother Margaret Mary Kennedy, his brother Thomas G. Kennedy, his brother Christopher Paul Kennedy and Christopher’s wife Claudia Piccinini Kennedy, his Aunt Clare Varley Lydon, his sister in law Annie Kennedy, his nephew Ryan Kennedy and Ryan’s wife Meegan Smith Kennedy, and his nephew Max Godwin. He is also survived by many loving cousins.
Brian was and remained an active and proud member of the University of Maryland Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity until the time of his passing. He worked for Efficient Home, LLC in Burtonsville, Maryland for many years and greatly enjoyed his time there.
Brian loved spending time by the ocean; tailgating at Maryland football games; spinning records as a proud and self-taught DJ; spending time with his friends and family and finding new and inventive ways of simply enjoying himself. Brian lived by the credo: I did it my way.
Brian led a full, rich life, evidenced by the many, many loving friends he left behind. Brian met everyone with a calming word; if you were lucky, he greeted you with a smirk and a twinkle in his eye, which endeared himself to those who knew him.
He fought the good fight. He finished his work. And he will be missed greatly.
The family will be conducting a private ceremony reserved for the immediate family members only.
His family will be arranging a Celebration of Life event in the future for friends to gather and celebrate Brian’s life and share stories about him.
