Mr. Brian Allen Ebersole, 49, of Knoxville, MD, died suddenly on Monday, February 8, 2016, in Charleston, SC.
He was the loving husband, partner, and best friend of Carrie Johnson Ebersole for 25 years.
Born September 25, 1966, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Clair (Jackie) Ebersole, Jr., and predeceased by his mother, Betty Ebersole.
Brian worked for Amtrak as a manager of Quality Assurance of High Speed Rail and many years ago as a security guard at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He graduated in Brunswick High School’s Class of 1984. He played football throughout his youth and at Brunswick High. He was nominated and received recognition from the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame as a Scholar-Athlete in 1984. He was a member of the marching and jazz bands. He was a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician and Life Member of Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance, Inc., and volunteer paramedic for Frederick County Advanced Life Support for many years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He was an avid hunter and loved photography. Brian most recently served as President and Coach for the Skip Wizards competition/demonstration jump rope team. There is no doubt that all that knew him loved and respected him.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one beloved daughter, Erika Beth Ebersole, and the family’s dogs, Mandy and Tinkerbell.
He is also survived by his siblings Linda (Mike) Webber, Diane (Gene) Farmer, Jerry (Linda) Ebersole, and Mark (Margo) Ebersole as well as two nephews, Rob (Jen) and Ryan Webber, one niece, Jaime Ebersole, and one great-niece Eve Webber.
A sister, Patricia Ebersole, preceded him in death.
He is also survived by his wife’s parents Bill and Vickie Johnson, and her siblings Tessa (Brad) Washington, Stacie Johnson, and Frank Johnson as well as one nephew, Dakota Lowe, three nieces, Courtney Hill, Lauren Johnson, and Tori Gooden, one great-nephew, Matthew Markous, and two great-nieces Gwen and Penelope Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick, MD.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Jen Webber officiating.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.
