Brian Edward Coulter, 51, of Sharpsburg, Maryland passed away on November 10, 2015 at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.
Born on September 12, 1964 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Edward William, Jr. and Barbara Jean (Clark) Coulter.
He graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1982.
In 1987, he joined the United States Army and fought overseas during Desert Storm. He ended his military career in 1991.
He worked as a correctional officer in Jessup, Maryland but later transferred to the Western Correctional Institution (WCI). He retired from WCI in April 2014.
He was an avid hunter and had a passion for the great outdoors.
In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his daughter, Brittani N. Forsythe and husband Paul of Williamsport, Maryland; brother, Jeffery Coulter and his fiancé Amy Miller and her children, Abriahannah, Mariska, Brian and Rachael all of Falling Waters, West Virginia; nephews, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Jason Coulter all of Hagerstown, Maryland; uncle, Ralph Clark of Sharpsburg, Maryland; and his dog, Gidget.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Maryland. The Chaplain Garry Felton will be officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 from Boonsboro.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m until 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 16 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
