Brent Alexander Smith, of most recently Clarksburg, WV, departed this life on Friday, September 27, 2013 at United Hospital Center. He was born on October 20, 1978 in Frederick, MD, the son of Ricardo Alexander Smith and Barbara Dorsey Smith of Germantown.
He was employed at Charley’s in Clarksburg, WV and previously employed with Towne Park for 8 years in the valet department.
Brent grew up in Germantown, MD and graduated from Seneca Valley High School and attended Montgomery College. He loved his family and was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, fiancé, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He enjoyed cooking chicken wings, watching sports and Law and Order SVU. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and Yankees fan. He was also a devoted friend to many and loved by all.
Brent leaves to cherish his memories his parents, sister Jeannine Smith Etheridge (Rashard Etheridge) of Rockville, MD, grandparents Eloise and Charles Dorsey of Frederick, MD, sons Brian Roberts-Smith and Cameron Smith, niece Jalayia Etheridge, godparents Saadia Williams and Anthony Hall, and fiancée, Amy Kirkpatrick. Brent also is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brent was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joanna Shipe, his grandfather, Doyle Smith, and his uncle Doyle Christopher Smith.
A service celebrating Brent’s life will be held on Friday, October 4th at 1:00PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
