Brenda Ann Ferzacca, age 59, of Mt. Airy, loving wife and mother of three beautiful children, passed away on February 5, 2024 after a valiant 17-year battle with breast cancer.
Brenda was born on October 27th, 1964, to Eileen and John Flood in Washington DC. After graduating from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring Maryland, she went on to study at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1993.
After graduation, Brenda landed her first job as a lab technician at Paramune. She worked there for 3 years until she met the love of her life, Phil Ferzacca. Soon after, she became a stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself to her children, Angela, Vincent, and Max.
Her favorite saint was St. Francis due to her love and compassion for animals. She always cared for and dedicated herself to all living things. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her three children Angela, Vincent, and Max. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy. A Mass of Catholic Burial will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michael’s Road, Mt. Airy. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
