Brady Christopher McClain, age 36, of Lafayette, IN, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Kirkersville, Ohio.

Born Sept. 1, 1972 in Annapolis, MD, and raised in Cheverly, MD, and Boonsboro, he was a son of Christopher William McClain and wife Peggy of Boonsboro, and Susan Shaw Green and husband Doug of Fredericksburg, VA.

Brady had attended Boonsboro High School and graduated in 1991 from Timber Ridge School in Winchester, VA. He had attended Word of Life Bible College in upstate New York. Brady was currently attending classes at Ivy Tech in Lafayette, IN.

He enjoyed the game of chess and liked woodworking projects.

In addition to his parents, Brady is survived by one daughter, Gabrielle McClain of DeMotte, IN; three brothers, Brian Christopher McClain and wife Michelle of Hagerstown, MD, Owen Garland and wife Traci of Boonsboro, and Brian Garland of Hagerstown; paternal grandmother, Frances McClain of Sun City, AZ; his former wife, Margaret Rendant of DeMotte; five nieces and nephews, and nine aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Esther Koch Shaw, and paternal grandfather, William Foster McClain.

A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro. The Rev. Robert G. Brennan Jr. will officiate. A luncheon and fellowship will follow the service in the church social hall.
