Mr. Bradley Dean Brown, 52, of Oak Hill, Virginia died on Sunday, July 5, 2009.

He was the beloved husband of Roni Brown, father of Stephanie and Danielle, and son of Walter and Elizabeth Brown.

Born September 10, 1956 in Frederick, Maryland to Walter C. and Mary Elizabeth Brown of Mt. Airy, Dean spent his childhood in Mt. Airy.

He was involved in Little League, Boy Scouts, and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

Dean graduated from South Carroll High School in 1974. After attending Catonsville Community College, he moved to Tampa and graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Florida in 1979. Dean began work for the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco. He earned his Masters degree in criminal justice from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 1983. Dean then began his career with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration as a special agent in Miami, FL. He later transferred to the Washington DC office and retired after 23 years with the DEA in 2006.

Dean is survived by his wife of 20 years, Roni, and his daughters, Stephanie Kaye (age 19) and Danielle Ashley (age 17) of Oak Hill, Virginia; his father and mother, Walter C. and Mary Elizabeth Brown of Mt. Airy; his sister, Nancy Nichols and her husband Garry of Harrisonburg, Virginia. Also left to mourn are Brian and Amy Nichols of Harrisonburg, Virginia; Cindy Seiff and Samantha Wolfle of Calabasas, California; Steve Seiff of Thailand; Irene and James Holton of Lady Lake Florida; and Gerald and Charlene Seiff of Naples, FL.

Visitation: Friends may call on the family at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy on Tuesday, July 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8. The Reverands Jack Ewald and Jennifer Karsner will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy.
Pall bearers will be Daniel Brown, Robert Leatherwood, Richard Clower, Ronald Clower and Allen Brown all cousins, and Brian Nichols, his nephew.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dean's name to Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 South Main Street, Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
