Bonnie Walvoord

Bonnie Walvoord, 83, of Frederick Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022, with her daughter by her side, due to complications from pneumonia.

Born in Seattle, WA, on May 23, 1938, Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Bernhard and Kathryn Weber and her granddaughter Sarah. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gary E. Walvoord, their children Eric and Traci Diane, her grandchildren Connor and Katie, and her siblings Janet, Diana and Ed.

A lifelong elementary school teacher, Bonnie was passionate about children’s education, continuing that passion after retirement as a volunteer teacher in Arizona and as a P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) member. Bonnie’s other passion was gardening, and she always looked forward to her monthly ‘lunch bunch’ with close friends.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 4:00pm ET, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick MD 21702.
