Mrs. Bonnie Jean Shank, 74, of Frederick passed away at home on Monday, October 29, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Leon Malan Shank for 56 years.
Born June 19, 1944 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. Humm, Sr., and the late Helen V. (Wiles) and Daniel O. Dew.
Bonnie loved Ocean City, playing computer games, and spending time with her dog, Mokie.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kim Palmer and husband, Kevin, of Middletown; Lisa Bickley and husband, Michael, of Virginia; two grandchildren, John Arnold and Hilary Palmer; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Zachary; a brother, Thomas W. Humm, Jr. and Fran Bunderman of Florida; and special friends, Nellie and Donna.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 2nd from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
