Bonnie Louise (Klein) Gdowski, 56, of Knoxville, Maryland died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, John Gdowski, three children and their spouses, Craig Gdowski and wife, Tiffany, of Knoxville, MD, Aimee Gdowski of Vienna, VA, and Kelly Crutchley and husband, Benjamin, of Norfolk VA, three grandsons, Jamison and Colton Gdowski and Jayce Crutchley, and one sister, Debra Fuller and husband Tom, of Warminster, PA. Her other sister Susan Gerry, predeceased her in 2011.
Born July 19, 1961 in Flemington, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Suzanne Ralph and William O. Klein. Bonnie grew up on a farm near Stockton NJ, enjoyed farming with her Dad, the outdoors, riding her horse, and playing various card/board games with her Mom. In 1982, she moved to Florida with her husband having children there, in 2003 the family moved to Knoxville MD where she resided until the time of her death. She was a NASCAR fan, always cheering on Kyle Busch driving the M&M car. Bonnie loved elephants, big pet dogs, playing Bingo, gardening, spending time with her grandsons, reading, solving puzzles and playing card/board games. She had a mischievous, curious and playful spirit, always touching things she shouldn’t or generally poking at things then asking “why not?” but always telling friends, family, and strangers to be safe and careful. As she spent her last weeks in a physical rehab facility she was always concerned about her roommate or other residents more than herself. She was a caring Christian woman of faith.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD, with a celebration of life to begin at 3:30 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Debbie Westfall.
