Mrs. Blanche Henning, 90, of Thurmont, passed away Sunday, May 27, at Kline Hospice House, Mt.Airy. She was the wife of the late George Horace Henning.
Born October 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Mary Sophia Poole Stull.
Blanche loved life and was loved by her son Fred, her daughter Joyce and husband Richard Stambaugh and sons Ron and wife Myke, Mike and wife Linda and Wayne and fiancée Lisa Mosebrook, grandchildren Timothy Stambaugh, David Henning (Charlotte), Jennifer Cimler (Thomas), Katie Semon (Craig), Crystal Durruty (Lazaro), Joshua and George Henning, great-grandchildren Mikaela and Mae Henning, Brady and Kaitlyn Stambaugh, Charlie Cimler, and Alanna, Lazaro and Layla Durruty, sister Mildred Shire, sister-in-law Mary Tortoro and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Charles and Stanley Stull, Betty Frushour and Frances Shimansky.
Blanche was a lifetime member of Weller United Methodist Church.
Viewing will be at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Tuesday, May 29 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Services will be held at Weller U.M. Church, 101 N. Altamont Ave, Thurmont on Wednesday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Blue Ridge Cemetery.
