Blair Hogan

July 1, 1930 — December 10, 2010

Mr. Blair Eugene Hogan 80, of Mt. Airy went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 10, 2010 at the Kline Hospice House from complications from cancer. Born July 1,1930 in Confluence , PA.

He was the son of the late William Francis and Florence Blanch "Snyder'" Hogan. He is survived by his loving wife Cleora (Annetta ) Hannah Hogan of 60 years. Blair attended Connellsville High School in PA , He then became a trackman on the railroad and retired 48 years later, as a supervisor. He worked with multiple companies B & 0, Chessie, Amtrak, and Maryland Midland Railway system. He was a member of Howard Chapel Ridgeville United Methodist Church of Mt. Airy.

He was an avid Hunter and Fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Castleman PA. He also enjoyed Gardening and spending time with family and close neighbors. He will also be sadly missed by Mt. Airy's McDonalds coffee cliche. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by a daughter Sharon Rea and husband Orlando Rea of Libertytown, a son Jerry L. Hogan and wife Judith. of Ijamsville; Seven Grandchildren Orlando Rea III and wife Jamie of Hagerstown, Angela Rea of Liberty town, Dallas Hogan and wife Leslie of Middletown, Jordan and Juliana Hogan of Ijamsville; and two great grandchildren Nathaniel Morris and Madilyn Rea; Brothers James Hogan and wife Barbara of Mt. Pleasant PA. , William Hogan of Connellsville PA. , David Hogan and wife Debbie of Thomasville, GA, Sisters Delores Hood and husband Edward of Freedom PA. Helen. Maier and husband John of - Brock Port NY. , Anna Rowe of Los Angelus CA. And a special niece and nephew Kay and William Nicholson and long time friend Wilson" Butch" Cantwell and sister-in-law Norma Hogan and Sister in Law Linda Hogan.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, infant Jimmy, Raymond , Walter , Harold . and three sister in laws Helen Hogan, Janet Hogan and Viola Pirl, and brother in law John Hannah, and niece Carla Primus.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy on Wednesday, December 15, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., where services will be held Thursday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Laura Schultz and Rev. Steven White officiating.
