Billie L. Blakesley

Mrs. Billie L. Blakesley, 83 of Frederick, MD, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Ralph W. Blakesley, her husband of 63 years.

Born July 3, 1925 in Anaheim, CA she was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Dollie Fitzsimmons Goodwin.

Mrs. Blakesley was a member of the Brook Hill United Methodist Church. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Fullerton Community Hospital for 10 years in CA. She was very active, for almost 30 years, with the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, working in the E.R., other units in the hospital and also with Select Seconds. She was also a volunteer with the the Red Cross for many years. Mrs. Blakesley loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert Blakesley and wife Debbie of Frederick and Donald Blakesley and wife Sherry of Mercer, PA, four grandchildren Brian, Michael, Jennifer and Kristin Blakesley and four great grandchildren.

Services: A Memorial service will be held at Brook Hill United Methodist Church, 8946 Indian Spring Road, Frederick, on Friday, September 12, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
