Bill D. Harris, Jr.

William D. Harris Jr., 70, of New Market, MD, passed away at home and into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born on November 6, 1953, in Laurel, MD he was the son of the late William Douglas Harris Sr. and Doris Harris.

Surviving is 1 brother Barry Hilling who resides in England, 1 sister, Linda Thomas 2 predeceased sisters Patricia & Diana and 5 nieces, Debbie, Denise, Kelly, Kim & Cheryl, 9 nephews Darren, Andy, Joey, Robbie, Jessie, Chuck, Russell, Michael and Buddy and 3 best friends Thelma Truitt, Kathy Chambers and Kathy Halstead and the loves of his life Steve & Tami Gray.

Bill was an avid dog lover and is also survived by his beloved dogs Sugar & Brody.
Bill was a Hair Stylist for 47 years. He started his profession in cosmetology at Hairport and worked at numerous salons including owner and manager at Harris & Company in Greenbelt and retired from Ashton Hair Salon in 2020.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy, MD 21771, where a celebration of Bill's life will begin at 2:00 pm. Childhood Friend, Pastor Jeff Hanlin will officiate. Following will be a reception at the funeral home. 

Memorial donations may be made to The Asher House, of Estacada, Oregon and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Memphis Tennessee.
