Mrs. Beverly Ann Wharam, 83 of Frederick, MD passed away at her home on Sunday, October 21, 2012 after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Harry Wharam. They were married for 45 years.
Born December 23, 1928 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Jacob Gilbert Jones, Sr. and Eva Phillips Jones.
Beverly loved bowling and enjoyed playing the slot machines in Charles Town as well as spending time with her friends. She will be sadly missed by her little dog Molly, who was her companion of 13 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Stein and husband John of Frederick, son-in-law, Philip McRorie of Keedysville, brother, Tom Jones and wife Mary of Fredericksburg, VA, sister, Dorothy Thomas of Fredericksburg, VA, seven grandchildren, James Morgan and wife Kathi of Frederick, Jill Wharam of Texas, Theresa Landon and husband Luke of North Carolina, Shelley McRorie of Keedysville, Amy Mancuso and husband Joe of Massachusetts, Jennifer Tongay and Sara Stein of Massachusetts. She is also survived by great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and great friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Harry Steven Wharam, daughter, Kathy McRorie, sister, Ethel Eckert and brothers, Charles Jones and Gilbert Jones.
A memorial service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, October 25th at 10:00AM with Pastor Elza Hurst officiating.
Inurnment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
