Beverly Joan (Wilcox) Owens, 87, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Frederick, MD.
Born July 6, 1930, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Joan lived in Silver Spring, Maryland and Laurel, Maryland, before finally settling in her retirement years in Frederick, Maryland. For 15 years, Joan worked at Montgomery Ward department store in Wheaton, Maryland before retiring in 1984.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Tom, and her beloved children - Steve, Dennis, Brian, Tommy, Mary Beth and Bobby - as well as her sister Mary (Wilcox) Fetkyo; sister-in-law Anne (Wilcox) Marsh; grandchildren Jennifer Pruett; Brandon Owens; Stefanie Owens; Mary Aucoin; Matilda Owens; Amanda Cover; Emily Owens; Matthew Cover; and Riley Owens; great-grandchildren Dusty Owens; Jordan Jumalon; Destiny Sweeney; and Jacob Sweeney.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mildred, and her siblings Thomas and Martha.
Calling hours will be held from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opposumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland, followed by a brief memorial service.
