Beverly Hines

Born on April 14, 1931 in Boonsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Everett C. "Jim" and Ruth May (McCarter) Long.  Her husband of 50 years, Stephen A. Hines, Sr. preceded her in death on September 3, 2006.

Beverly was a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

She was an employee at Fairchild, did clerical duties at the mail processing center and the Stationery House in Hagerstown, and was a homemaker during the latter part of her life.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Donna R. Harding and husband Kevin of Magnolia, Delaware; two sons, Gregory L. Long and his wife Joyce of Hagerstown, and Stephen A. Hines, Jr. of Hagerstown; and her sister and best friend Anita Hildebrand of Hagerstown.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.  Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
