Beverly Brant

December 18, 1934 — July 17, 2017

Beverly Anne Wilson Brant, 82, of Frederick, MD peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, July 17, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Brant.

Born December 18, 1934 in Waltersburg, PA, she was the only child of the late Charles L. and Marie C. Wilson.

Beverly grew up in Smock, PA where she graduated from Uniontown Senior High Class of 1952. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA. Beverly was employed by Dr. Kenneth Hinderer, ENT Specialist, as his office nurse and assisted him in surgery at Eye and Ear Hospital as his private scrub nurse in surgery at Presbyterian Hospital and St. Margarets Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was married to Robert E. Brant, December 17, 1960, where they lived in Cumberland, MD until moving to Frederick, MD April of 1962 after the birth of their son, Robert E. Brant, Jr.

Beverly was active in the community where she held offices and worked on several committees of the Women’s Civic Club and the Jr Women’s Civic Club, including the Mardi Gras Committee and the Snowball Committee. She helped in Little League and the Babe Ruth Baseball League and Sertoma Basketball. Beverly was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and volunteered in the Mother’s Class at the church and was a member of FMH Auxillary, Frederick Chapter #74 Order of the Eastern Star, Eastview Community Center and the Presbyterian University Hospital Nurses Alumni Nurses Association.

In addition to her husband, Robert E. Brant, Sr. of Frederick, she is survived by her son, Robert E. Brant, Jr. and his wife Linda and grandchildren Robert Maxwell Brant and Jacqueline Renee Brant all of Houston, TX.

There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Rev. Tim May will officiate at a private family service followed by private interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
