Ms. Beverly Marie Bowie, 68 of Frederick, MD; entered eternal rest November 11, 2014 at North Hampton Manor Nursing Home. Beverly was the daughter of the late Walter W. Bowie and Etta M. Bowie.
She was a graduate of Frederick High School. She was employed at Carmack Jay’s and later retired from Goodwill Industries. She loved sports, figure skating, crossword puzzles, Beyoncé, and spending time with family.
Surviving are children Anthony (Carla) Bowie of Frederick, Md; Kimberly Bowie of Upper Marlboro, Md; Michelle Baskett of Stockbridge, Ga; and Tonya Offord of Frederick, Md; two granddaughters Courtney Davis and Amber Baskett; and three grandsons, Jordan Bowie, Jalen Bowie and Jaylen Baskett; one brother, Douglas Bowie of Harrisburg, Pa; and two sisters Constance Palmer and Martha Doye, both of Frederick, Md; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Wayman A.M.E. Church, 9940 Liberty Road, Frederick MD. The Family will receive friends at 10 a.m., and the funeral will begin at 11 am. Rev. Robert Ray, officiating.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
