Mrs. Beulah V. Derflinger of Brunswick, Md., passed away peacefully in her home on August 3, 2007. Mrs. Derflinger was born on April 3, 1923, to the late Walter and Vinda Lucas of Stanley, Va.
Beulah was the wife of the late Robert E. Derflinger, her husband of 41 years. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church of Greater Brunswick (formerly the New York Hill United Methodist Church). She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with them, and shopping.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Myers and husband Gene of Knoxville, and Shirley Derflinger of Brunswick; one son, Randy Derflinger of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Mark Myers and wife Carrie of Sharpsburg, Tara Myers of Hagerstown, Cheryl Hepp and husband Bobby of Bowie, Md., Danielle Derflinger and Amanda Starleper of Keedysville; and two great-grandsons, Alex and Andrew Myers of Sharpsburg. Two sisters, Lurene Saunders of Leesburg, Va, and Anna Wigington of Knoxville, and one brother, Everett Lucas of Bunker Hill, W.Va, also survive Mrs. Derflinger. She was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Lucas, and four sisters, Ollie Shugars, Geneva Crowl, Pearl Wenner, and Jean Baker.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 Maple Avnue, Brunswick.
Services: Service's will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday August 7, at 2:00pm. Pastor Noni Sigler will officiate. Interment will be at Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
