Mrs. Bettyrose G. Pline, 83, of Jefferson, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2006, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joseph Pline.

Born May 6, 1923 in Oak Park, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary C. Thompson McAvaney.

Mrs. Pline was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Mary Francis, a member of the Jefferson Homemakers Club and a volunteer with the Jefferson Ruritan Club. Mrs. Pline was also a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association, Unit 142. She touched many lives with her loving and gentle spirit and will be deeply missed by many, including Dare Riley, Sammie Hayas and Wilma Kelly.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her sister Patricia Stehle of Mt. Prospect, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her brother Hugh McAvaney.

Services: Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4231 Catholic Church Road, Petersville, Maryland, on Thursday, November 30, 2006, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. with Father George A. Limmer, assisted by Reverend Mr. Lawrence P. Teixeira, officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi-St. Mary's, 113 First Avenue, Brunswick, MD 21716.
