Betty Lou Maggi, 71 of Mt. Airy, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Pasquale Pat Maggi who passed away in 2003.

Born May 2, 1935 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late James W. Dennis, Sr. and Louise Leverette.

She was a member of the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Adelphi, MD.

She loved going to Charles Town and playing the slot machines. She also enjoyed puzzles, watching movies, scratch tickets, the lottery, harness racing, playing poker and bowling at the Mt. Airy Lanes on Monday nights.

Most importantly she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her six children, Marie Carter and husband Oscar of St. Augustine, FL, Karen Kerrick and husband William of St. Augustine, FL, Dennis Maggi and wife Chrissy of Damascus, MD, Patricia Milburn and husband John of Mt. Airy, MD, Patrick Maggi and fiance Kimberly Ceballos of Mt. Airy, MD, and Christopher Maggi and wife Sara of New Market, MD, 11 grandchildren, Kevin Carter and wife Dawn, Toby Carter and wife Mya, Brent Maggi, Jordan Maggi, Ryan, Alex and Justin Milburn, Colin, Emerson, Lauren and Carson Maggi, 6 great grandchildren, Nikki, Taylor, Lexi, Brett, Jackson and Olivia Carter, one brother, James W. Dennis, Jr., a sister, Nancy L. Wilson, sister-in-law, Filomena Smith, two special nephews, Michael Smith and Lance Legnaoli and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She will also be remembered by her special friend Mary Margaret Edelen and all of her other friends.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy on Saturday, May 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Freddie Hidalgo officiating.

Interment will be private.
