Betty L. Burdette

Ms. Betty L Burdette, 68, of Frederick, died on Monday, April 28, 2008.

Born on February 1, 1940 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Edith Shorb.

Ms. Burdette is survived by two children; John L. Burdette Jr. and wife Jan of Keedysville and Franklin L. Burdette and wife Deana of Brunswick, eight grandchildren; Angie Marker and husband Kevin, Stefani Kozlowski and husband Don,Kelsy, Tyler and Kayla Burdette, Kathy Pedersen and husband Jim, Chris Rau and wife Rose, Tammy Jo Hanna and husband Lacey, four great-grandchildren; James Marker, Meredith Kozlowki, Mark and Madison Pedersen, three sisters; Cindy Knott, Doris McGaha and Audrey Degrange, one brother Kenneth Shorb. She is also survived by her first husband John L. Burdette, Sr. of Rocky Ridge, MD.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Thursday, May 1st, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Services: Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick with Pastor Merritt W. Ednie officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be John L. Burdette, Jr., John L. Burdette, Sr., Chris Rau, Jim Pedersen, Dicky Reed and Kevin Marker, and honorary bearers; Tyler Burdette and Mark Pedersen.
