Bettye Bass Hamlin, 94, of Frederick, Maryland.

Bettye Bass Hamlin was the wife of the late John G Hamlin. They married on December 25, 1952, after dating for nine weeks in her hometown of Freeport, Texas and were married for 58 years. They spent many years traveling the country together with family and friends in retirement.

Born on June 26, 1930, in Rosebud, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Sam Howard and Lula Jenkins Bass. While she retired as a Data Processing Manager from W. Bell and Co., her favorite role was as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her Children, Wava Hamlin of Germantown, Donald C Hamlin II (Cheryl) of Frederick. Grandchildren; Jennifer White (Adam) of Dickerson, Scott Hamlin (Robert) of Pikesville, Brian Hamlin (Lindsay) of Silver Spring and Christie Evans (Marquis) of Rockville. Great-Grandchildren; Adalyn, Hailey, Noah, Hayden, Brayden, Eli and Jaylen. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sam H Bass Jr and Wilbur A ‘Jack’ Bass.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3. Inurnment will be held in October in Gorham, New Hampshire.
