Betty Mae Wilhide

Betty Mae Wilhide, 96, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Westminster Healthcare Center in Westminster, MD.

Born on August 4, 1927, in Emmitsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Ross Wilhide and Grace Virginia (Eyler) Wilhide.

Betty Mae loved all kinds of animals. 

She is survived by her sweetheart, Bernard Whipp, of Oklahoma; and by her cousins, Marie Lohman, Shirley Rienks, Linda Caricofe, and George Wilhide. 

Betty Mae was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Eaton Needy. 

Service and burial will be private as per Betty Mae's request. 

Memorial donations may be made to any animal rescue organization in her memory.
