Betty Starke

Betty Bell Starke, 87, of Frederick, MD died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Kline Hospice House. Twice married, she was the wife of the late Clarence J. Fasiska for 35 years until his death in 1988. She was married to Raymond (Rippy) Starke from 1994 until his death in 2004.
She was born on January 25, 1931 in Washington, DC.
“Mama”, as she was known to those who loved her, was a kind and loving soul with an awesome personality and great sense of humor. She was very hip, always keeping up with the latest trends and entertainment news. She loved music, old and new, loved dancing... especially the jitterbug, loved following her family on her Instagram account, very much enjoyed dining at Dutch’s Daughter, loved baking biscotti, enjoyed her monthly get-togethers with the “Honeysuckle Girls”, but mostly... LOVED HER FAMILY.
Betty is survived by five loving children; John Fasiska, also Leticia Fasiska, both of Naples, FL; Karen Hobson, also James Hobson, both of Frederick, MD; Andrew & Judy Fasiska of O’Fallon, MO; Nanci Weakley & Sean McKee of Montgomery Village, MD, also Stephen Weakley, Sr. of Frederick, MD; and Susan Fasiska & Arnell Byrd of Silver Spring, MD.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Bill Marin, Tory Hobson, Lauren Necciai, Jamie Fasiska, Carrie Fasiska, Christine Warren, Casey Weakley, and Stephen Weakley, Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Paige Weakley.
A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Interment will be private.
