Betty J. Rose, of Knoxville, MD, went to be with the angels on Wednesday morning, January 27th at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Charles W. Rose “Charlie” and brothers Jim, Paul, David and sister Alice.
Born a Kinna, her mother died when Betty was a teen and she cared for her four brothers and sister. Betty worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Research at Ft. Detrick until she retired. Betty was an “original”: candid, fun-loving, clever and witty. She loved her family and was dedicated to them.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the caring and supportive staffs at Hospice and Tranquillity at Fredericktowne.
Arrangements are being handled by Stauffer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at St Mark’s Episcopal Church, Knoxville, MD, on Wednesday, February 3rd at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice or the Humane Society.
