Betty Lee Titman, 77, of Thurmont, passed away peacefully the morning of October 11, 2018 after spending the night surrounded by family and friends. Betty was born January 23, 1941 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Clyde and Elsie (Quick) Titman.
Prior to her retirement, she was a 40 year employee with Moore Business Forms in Thurmont. She will be remembered by her family, countless friends and her church community as a woman who always put others before herself. The kindness and love she spread during her time in this world was felt by many, and because of that, her memory will live on through the hearts of others. Betty was a longtime and devoted member of MorningStar Family Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Barbara Fisher and husband, Robert Wilhide, Jr.; two grandchildren, Ricky Fisher and wife, Jamie, and Mackenzie Wilhide; and two great-grandchildren, Claire and Caroline Fisher, who knew her as "Meemaw." Also surviving are a brother, Elmer Titman and wife, Nancy; a sister, Ruth May; and many nieces and nephews including special niece Donna May. Betty was predeceased by a sister, Nellie Quick; and two brothers and their spouses, Raymond Titman (Julie), Norman Titman (Mary)
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont. Funeral services will begin at noon with Pastor Donna Sandridge officiating. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, Libertytown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MorningStar Family Church, 14698 Albert Staub Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788. Donations may be mailed or brought to the funeral where a church donation basket will be available.
