Betty Marie Goines

Ms. Betty Marie Goines, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 20, 2025, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ballenger Creek with her son by her side. Betty was born in Frederick, MD to the late Leon and Charlotte Goines.

Betty aka “Betty Boop” to most or “Grandma” to her grandchildren, was a fun-loving person and a homemaker most of her life. She was a longtime resident of Autumn Lake where she enjoyed rolling the halls visiting friends, playing, and calling Bingo, sitting outside in nice weather and her surprise visits from her son. Betty had an infectious laugh and wild sense of humor. Betty loved spending time with her family, doing word searches, reading, and watching DVDs of her favorite movies and shows. She also loved cooking for the residents and staff. 

Betty is survived by her Son Larry (Lesley) Georgia; Daughter Tiffany; Granddaughter Brittane’; Grandsons Larry Jr., Braden, all of Georgia; Sister Leona Lamar (Ed) Seattle, WA; Brothers Michael, William (Donna), Steve (Mary) all of Frederick; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends. 

Betty was preceded in death by her, son Jason, daughter Tara, grandson Tyreek, granddaughter Kutara, brothers, Greg, Timothy, and Frank Goines; Sisters, Frances (Fan) Lee and Barbara Jordan.

Betty will be remembered by some very special people, Lisa Flippin Sisiter, Betty Miller, Peggy Bowie, Shirley Greer, Mrs. Sewell, and her NP Amanda who we give lots of love and hugs to.

The family will receive friends from 11am-12 pm on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD where a celebration of Betty's life journey will take place at 12 pm. Pastor Luke Robinson will officiate. Interment will be private.
