Betty Jane Goff

Betty Jane Goff (Dixon), 87, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late David A. Goff, Jr. who preceded her in death February of 1998.

Born on April 11, 1937, in Terra Alta, WV, she was the daughter of the late Grover Clevend and Lura Jane (Funk) Dixon.

Betty loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching cowboy movies and shows (Gunsmoke), gardening and loved to tell stories about her childhood. Betty was the last of her siblings and the youngest of 13 children.

She is survived by her children, Fred Goff (Patty), Dave Goff, III (Glenda), Jeff Goff (Lou), Lura Whitmore (Billy) and Doug Goff; grandchildren, Jennifer Rosenberry (Kenny), Wendric Goff, Matthew Goff (Jennifer), Jason Goff (Erin), Jamie Goff, Kevin Gibbons, Chris Gibbons (Melissa), Toni Guariglia (Mike) and Mark Goff; 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A celebration of Betty's life journey will take place at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred). Rev. Tim May will officiate. 

 Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
