Bessie Seward

Bessie Catherine Seward, 93, of Jefferson, Maryland died on Friday, December 1, 2017.
Mrs. Seward was born on July 30, 1924 in Yellow Springs, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Alvey Columbus Wiles and Ida A. Wiles.
Bessie worked at White Star for many years in Frederick. She had a huge heart and welcomed anyone into her home with a bright smile.
She was predeceased in death by her husband of 52 years, George Seward; her son, David Seward and daughter, Mildred Castle.
She is survived by her son, Melvin Seward and daughter-in-law, Connie Seward. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many many friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 12:00 noon- 1:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m.
