Bernard Stitely

Mr. Bernard W. "Bay Boy" Stitely, 82, of Frederick died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation C enter.
Born February 14, 1930 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Gilmore W. and Nellie Bell Geesey Stitely.
He worked as a carpenter early in his career. He was an excellent athlete in his younger years, as well as an accomplished sportsman who loved hunting and fishing.Upon retirement, he loved watching sports on television, especially Redskins and Orioles games.
He is survived by a brother, Charles Stitely of Frederick; several nieces and nephews; and his good friends and former neighbors, Jill and Sonny Knight.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three siblings, Gilmore W. Stitely, Jr., Geraldine Stitely Shelton, and Jack E. Stitely, Sr.
Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
