Benjamin Wagner

Benjamin L. Wagner, 84, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on June 17, 2018 at Western Maryland Hospital Center.

Born on December 15, 1933, he was the son of the late John B. and Rachel (Cline) Wagner. Benjamin worked for Palmyra Farms for more than 42 years as a dairy farmer. He was a member of the 4-H All Stars and a member of the Fairplay Vol. Fire Company. He was also a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Keedysville.

Benjamin is survived by his three children, Benita Wagner Samples of Moore, Oklahoma, Susan Patricia Wagner of Channelview, Texas and Benjamin Lewis Wagner III and Rhonda of Channelview, Texas; his sister, Beverly W. Dalton; brother, James A. Wagner; five grandchildren, Rachel Wagner Simmons and husband Nelson, Weslyn Wagner, Shelby Wagner, Debra Purser and husband Michael and Melanie Samples; one great-granddaughter, Jesse Purser and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley L. Wagner.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. A funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will be Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville, Maryland.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or to Fairplay Volunteer Fire Company.
