Benjamin James Smith, 84, of Reeders Memorial Home died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the home.
Born October 12, 1922 in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Benjamin Leo and Henrietta Mae Fultz Smith.
He was employed as a mason tender with Leroy Myers Construction.
He was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro.
He is survived by one brother, William L. Smith of Boonsboro and two sisters, Margaret McCleaf of Blue Ridge Summit, PA and Nancy Harris of Sunset Beach, NC; one niece, one nephew; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by one nephew, Bradley C. McLeaf.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 5 at Boonsboro Cemetery. Rev. Joseph I. Donovan, III will officiate.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
