Mrs. Beattie Irene Renn, 86, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Renn, Sr.
Born March 19, 1929, in Walkersville, Maryland, Beattie was the daughter of the late William H. and Elizabeth Howard Zimmerman.
She was a devoted wife and mother whose life centered around her family. She was kind and caring, giving everyone in her life unconditional love. She loved animals, particularly her dog, Tilly, and she was happiest outdoors on the farm. She also loved to cook and bake, and hosted holidays dinners for her family until she was 85 years old.
She is survived by her children, Robert E. Renn, Jr. and wife, Mary Jo; John W. Renn and wife, Kathy; Roberta M. Renn and partner, Michael Hall; James H. Renn and wife, Susan; Thomas M. Renn; and, daughter-in-law, Margaret O. Renn. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Richard C. Renn, and her brother, William H. Zimmerman, Jr.
