Beatrice 'Bea' Toms

In loving memory, born in the state of Virginia, at age 103 after a short illness at "Winter Growth" in Olney, Maryland, on November 2, 2017, Beatrice 'Bea' Clingan Toms, of  Frederick, MD passed from this life.

She was the wife of Clarke Elvin Toms, deceased, loving mother to Joan Toms Derrick and Donald Clarke Toms, deceased, and to Patricia Toms Ferrell of Potomac, MD, grandmother to 7 living grandchildren, Christopher Toms, deceased, 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

Bea was a well known caterer for many years, basically within Frederick and Montgomery counties.  She was well known as a presenter on the QVC television program, with her first cookbook, titled, "Bea Toms Recipes from a Country Cook." In her first presentation she sold over 8,000 copies in 8 minutes.
The family worked dairy farms in Montgomery County, owning two in Frederick County.
She belonged to the Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, MD. 21701.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

Funeral Service to celebrate Bea's life will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November , 2017, at Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue Frederick, MD 21701.  Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in  Frederick, MD.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Frederick Church of the Brethren.
